In the successful series Welcome to Calefax-land, Calefax invites a special guest each year. Not a musician, but someone who loves music. In this fifth edition, that guest is the anthropologist and writer Joris Luyendijk.
He has written on a wide range of topics, including the Middle East, the financial world, and social issues such as populism. In this performance, he explores the subject of giftedness. Calefax will perform pieces by composers such as Bach and Nancarrow, who are known for their intricate musical structures.
