Johan de Meij, an international celebrity in the world of the symphonic wind orchestra, is currently one of the most performed Dutch composers. Un Momento Dado is a grand work that de Meij custom-composed for reed quintet and wind orchestra. Exhilarating, moving and jubilant – Un Momento Dado is a rollercoaster ride through different musical styles. Calefax performs it together with the concert band of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, conducted by Arjan Tien.
