Recital
Valeria Curti is first bassoonist of the Swiss orchestra Musikkollegium Winterthur and teaches bassoon at the Bern Academy of the Arts. This makes her the first woman to teach bassoon at university level in Switzerland. In this recital, Curti gives an authentic insight into the happy and difficult phases young artists face on their way to becoming a professional musician – from the high pressure to achieve perfection to the strength that can be drawn from music. Bon Voyage is a musical rollercoaster of emotions, focusing on four emotional worlds: light-heartedness, despair, sadness and hope. Each world is illustrated by contrasting musical works.
