Each year, Calefax invites composers of all ages and nationalities to participate in the Calefax Composers Competition. For the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the competition, Calefax organizes a public final round of judging at 7pm at the Tolhuistuin Amsterdam.
In the first half of the event, Calefax plays the pieces that made it to the final selection and the audience can vote for their favourite composition for the audience award, which will receive a ‘special mention’. Calefax gives a unique insight in their judging process with internationally acclaimed composer and chairman of the jury Kate Moore in the second half of the event. The sheet music will be presented on screen.
