We are very excited to announce the winner of the 2018 Barlow Prize: Stacy Garrop.
From the BYU website: “After reviewing 159 submissions from 18 countries, the judging panel awarded Stacy Garrop of Chicago, Illinois, the $12,000 Barlow Prize to compose a major new work for reed quintet.” We are grateful to the Barlow Endowment and BYU for supporting another big step in the development of Reed Quintet repertoire. And proud to be part of the consortium that will premiere this new piece, together with Akropolis and a new Reed Quintet from BYU. Happy for all involved! More info
