Today we present our moving version of Purcell’s famous aria in our Valentine’s Day pre-release single Dido’s Lament.
This is a preview of our upcoming concert tour and album release in April: Dido & Aeneazz, Calefax’ new approach to Purcell’s well-known opera Dido and Aeneas in collaboration with renowned trumpet player Eric Vloeimans. It invites the listener to a musical journey that virtuously flows from the baroque original to jazz, calypso and klezmer, and back.
