We were on tour from 7 April until 14 June with renowned trumpeter Eric Vloeimans for our project Dido & Aeneazz, a swinging new version of Purcell’s famous baroque opera Dido and Aeneas. It is a recomposition of the opera by Raaf Hekkema (saxophonist of Calefax) with a cycle of new songs by Eric Vloeimans. Artist Hedy Tjin made beautiful illustrations that depicted and accompanied the colorful music.
