Salome Etter is our new bass clarinettist!

Calefax  |  August 20, 2026

Calefax is delighted to announce their new bass clarinettist: Salome Etter. Salome is an energetic and versatile musician that fits the ensemble effortlessly. We are going to enjoy her musical passion and commitment, both on and off stage.

This decision was made by Calefax following an open recruitment process that took nine months. We are grateful to all the exceptional bass clarinettists we met and performed with during the previous season.

Calefax has shared the stage with Salome Etter at several concerts this season, including the tour with Milouska Meulens in the Caribbean. Salome’s first concerts with Calefax will be part of the Menu de Saison programme: 12 September in Zwolle, 15 September in Deventer, 27 September in Leiden, and 30 September in Amsterdam. Check out our concert calendar for details of all our concerts.
