Many people are familiar with the pain of being excluded because you are thought of as different, or as not fitting in with others’ norms, because of the way you think, sound or act. In Forbidden Music, Calefax performs music by composers who were silenced because of who they were, because of their origins, or what they dared to compose. Calefax guides you on a journey through these stories. They are moving stories, but also hopeful ones – because, despite everything, the composers’ music lived on.
