From 8 untill 12 November and 9 untill 12 December 2019, Calefax travels to England and Wales for a series of concerts and a masterclass in a.o. Cardiff and Luton.
We start our tour with our new concert programme The Human Organ, in which we bring the most beautiful organ music to the concert hall. In London we share the stage with the adventurous cellist Matthew Barley on the Wimbledon International Music Festival. In December, we visit England for the second time for a series of three concerts, among which the celebration of Kevin Volans’ 70th birthday in the Wigmore Hall, London with a special new piece written for Calefax and the Sigum Quartet.*
