Calefax and the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague have been working together for a number of years.
For us this collaboration is incredibly inspiring because we get in touch with students of today. They are the musicians of the future.
Every year we organize together the project (masterclass) ‘Reed Orchestra’ for students of the Royal Conservatoire. This fall, we will be working with seven students for four days on The Fax Process by Ton ter Doest, Isolde’s Liebestod by Richard Wagner and New York Counterpoint by Steve Reich.
On Thursday November 23, 2017, 4.30 pm we present these pieces during one of the ‘Punch Card’ concerts in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
