Bart is a versatile and communicative musician and an energetic multi-instrumentalist with whom we are going to have a great time both on stage and behind the scenes.

Some people may recognize Bart from earlier projects like our anniversary album CalefaXL (2010) or concerts form our tour Amerika, America in 2009 with Speeltheater Holland. In the Dutch scene, Bart is well known and respected in many chamber music groups including the Netherlands Wind Ensemble. He is a teacher at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

We are grateful for all the amazing clarinettists that we met and played with in the past season. Since Bart will not be available to play at all the concerts upcoming season, Calefax will play a few projects with guest clarinettists.
